Hitchhiking is great.

Many places require nothing but a thumb and the clothes on your back; others are not as forgiving as we hope them to be.

Preparedness for the possible situations as a hitchhiker, wanderer, vagabond, hobo, what have you, is as simple as basic camping goods (even those are not always necessary!) and using our brains. Every person has a different style and technique. Beautiful. Embrace it. Soak it up. Those who go out solely with an old school backpack to sunny California one weekend may turn right around with a stuffed military duffel bag to cold New York the next. Some sleep outside, others strictly couchsurf. Some panhandle, dumpster dive, work 50 hours a week just to get on the road for a day, wear suits, hate spiders, you name it. As travelers we are a diverse group all searching for a taste of something different, attempting to fulfill the yearning of freedom.

That freedom is knowing that no matter where we are today, we don't know where we'll be tomorrow, and nothing, including our packs, can hold us back from making that tomorrow a great adventure.

Saying that, this site will be dedicated to helping and guiding people to discard the excess, gain the courage to get on (or off!) the road, and to find that freedom.
